Barbour, cute to boot

I just got back from a trip to Europe and discovered the BEST Barbour boots.  You all know I am a fan, and it is always fun to see what other countries carry/what may not be available in the U.S.

I saw these, and bought them on site.  SO Cute....

here they are in action, in a pub, obviously ;)

I also thought these were super cute, but I am already stocked up on knee high boots for the season...

And I tried these on, and they will DEFINITELY be the chelsea boot addition to my closet. 

Travel

Exciting travel news for the Peters....I was invited to hunt in Scotland in less than a month! Definitely a bucket list trip, and even better is Adam is coming along and we are making a vacation out of it! 

Driven grouse hunting is very traditional English style hunting. Imagine a barbour ad, that is pretty much how you dress. Lots of tweed, ties, and scarves. 

Sounds right up my alley right? Hunting in fabulous clothes? Sign.me.up.

Talk about a packing challenge...traditional English style hunting with a vaca tagged on after! I am already brainstorming.  The only thing I am positive is that this coat (here, on sale!) is coming with me! Waxed cotton is a total must, there is a reason why the best waxed fabrics come from England....

(I do not know why they show it belted, I think it is MUCH cuter without the belt. It is easily removable (with no exposed beltloops!))

Have had a few blog requests lately....I am so behind, but coming up soon. 

1. How to wear ankle booties....not picks, but literally, how real people can wear them...

2. Sporting pants.....there are plenty of waspy events that require non jean, non cord, non 5 pocket bottoms. Do any exist that don't look old and unflattering? I am researching :)

Black+fur love

As you most likely know, I am a huge Barbour fan. I just love their outerwear, but I stumbled across this sweater/coat recently.  Goodness, this has my name all over it! 

 How cute with this be with these Frye boots and skinny jeans!

I love this, because it is easy, looks put together, and I am positive would be amazingly comfortable!

Fall Shipments

Getting soooo many fall goodies into our store the last week! AH! Even though it has been in the '80s this week, it is fun to see fun new fall clothing arriving. I know, it is not even labor day, BUT I work in apparel, on the retail side and in merchandising/product development, SO you have to be thinking seasons ahead!

Here are a few ladies favorites we are carrying...that I want in my closet!

Okay, and this bag....LOVE.  Dark green wool with brown leather trim. What a great travel bag this would be? Or a great bag to carry at a fall festival. I ordered it for the shop but I think it's my #1 (though not sure how I can get another bag into my house?)

And this staple, classic Barbour plaid vest liner....over a fisherman cable. An amazing fall outfit with skinny jeans and riding boots!

Work bags

Realizing that I have a disproportional amount of bag posts, and an abnormal love of Barbour, here is a natural lust for me...

I am loving this Barbour bag.  I think it is a discontinued  item, as I cannot order it for our store this fall. But how cute? Love it! Looks like a perfect day to day work bag and travel bag!

Drowning....in fall clothing overload!

Bag lusts...

I have a handbag problem....first step is admitting it right?
They always fit :)
I also am a big bag kind of girl.  I carry around a lot of stuff (useless or not), AND I have a theory...the bigger the bag, the skinnier you look!

#2 Filson Carry All - I saw this bag at an industry event when it was not made yet. It is fabulous. Classic filson color and leather, updated style. It is big...a tote for some, a purse for me....we have them coming to the store in just a week or two. Stay tuned for pics. (admittedly, I love Filson. I have the open topped tote, shown below,  and use it all the time)

 

 

 

 

 

Warm fall day

It's a warm fall day in Pennsylvania and I am SO ready for the weekend! Boot season has (tentatively) arrived.  The mornings and evenings are cool, but we still get warm during the day.

I have been drooling (obsessing) over a Barbour tote that I saw.  I think I planned my outfit today dreaming that I had it :) It would go perfectly wouldn't it? :)
