Shirtdress love

What I wore selling shotguns last week...

I wore this olive green C.Wonder shirt dress, and I am in love. So comfortable and the color is a great earth toned deep green...and I had a lot of compliments from random strangers.  I now lust for it in khaki.  

I am a big shirt dress wearer...they keep you looking polished, are very comfortable, and versatile.

Why I ESPECIALLY love this one, is its simplicity.  Two chest pockets, two side slits, and you can wear the sleeves up or down.  (no epaulettes on it, thank goodness.  I am not a fan on a dress, and a lot of companies put them on them)

Throw on some wedges and accessories and its an easy, polished, look.

I paired it with these lilly gold wedges from a Lilly sale a few seasons ago...

Throw on some chunky jewelry and ready for the day!

Not my toughest work assignment...

This weekend, Adam and I are heading to ny/ct for a work trip. I am attending a sporting clay charity shoot that benefits the national forest foundation. Sounds fun right?

The night before, there is a cocktail reception at the Greenwich country club. Talk about a traditional venue!

Packing list.....

 Friday night cocktails.....It won't be that warm...so a lot of summery dresses are out:/ sigh.....

As usual, I'll probably pack 2 - 3 outfits and make a game time decision. As type A as I am, I need to allow for last minuet flexibility.....Here is what I'm thinking...as two that will make the trip.....which do you prefer?

Option 1. J.Crew navy dress, nude patent or gold Lilly wedges, and anchor clutch

Option 2. LBD (similar to the one pictured below), Wedges or heels, and my Vince Camuto black and gold clutch (similar to pictured below....though mine is from TJ Maxx on super clearance last year :)

My favorite "Active" sunglasses.  I am a sunglasses junkie, but these are the best for anything outdoor/active.

Ruffles, seersucker, and one shoulder...oh my!

I am a big longtime Lilly lover.  I came across this dress in Florida, and WOW, LOVE! Actually, the true story is my MOM found it....and we both loved.

Because my upper body is petite, I have always loved their strapless dresses. During the process of selecting my wedding dress (also one shouldered), I began to love the one shoulder silhouette.  I realized it is a good cut for a lot of body shapes...

THIS dress....goodness. It combines three of my favorite things....seersucker, ruffles, and one shouldered.

How cute! And available here...perfect for any summer party or wedding! I'd pair it with metallic wedges or flat jack rogers and my signature stacks of bracelets!

Charlottesville Fun

It's been a busy last week for this girl. Lots of work, a pretty fierce cold that wiped me out, and a weekend trip with the husband. 
We went to Charlottesville last weekend, which is one of our most favorite places!

During the trip I of course hit up the Lilly Store I discovered last time...the Pink Palm.
They are fabulous! and having a great sale:)
