I am a bracelet girl, I love them.  My husband says he can hear my coming always from all the clanking of my wrists :) I take that as a compliment :) Here are a few of my recent favorites...

Gifting come early! Ladies part 1

For the first time in my life, I am almost completely done with my Christmas shopping before Thanksgiving! I feel no panic or pressure, which means I think I'll be better at helping people in my day job find the perfect gifts!

Here are a few of my favorites for ladies:

1. Pictures don't do this jacket justice. It is GORGEOUS! Technical fabric paired with a fur collar? Function meets fabulous in my book.  I have it, and it is also unbelievably warm!

2. These boots I wore on a recent photo shoot.  I love them! They are adorable, but also Gore-Tex.  So if you get caught in the snow and slush you don't have to be concerned.  (Says the girl who always seems to be in ballet flats when it snows!)

3.  This fleece is so versatile.  I hunt in it and wear it casually wouldn't it be great with the above boots?!) It is so reasonably priced too.  Available here.

Overdressed and over served

Spent a great weekend for work in dc....buying for the store, and still had time to catch up with some friends and do a little Christmas shopping!

One favorite purchase was this koozie by southern proper,  a gift, but may have to keep for myself! I'm contemplating carrying it around in my purse!:)

Being a beer lover, I have an extensive koozie collection. Lilly is my usual go to, but it may be replaced by this gem.

Also caught up with one of my most favorite shooting and hunting buddies. Ever seen girlies girls who shoot? We have spent a lot of fun years shooting together, and many years when not shooting, being overdressed and overserved. When she saw mine, she purchased the koozie as well:)

I know I know it's winter, BUT if you want to get things on super sale, you have to buy off season.  I love to buy winter boots in summer ;)

Ugh, remember these from last week? they are now down to around $100 from $300.....that's a steal for Frye (they are worth every penny!)

 

Coastal Cateyes

I have terrible vision - like terrible.  Like -7 prescription in each eye,  have to pick up my phone in the morning, put it 2 inches from my nose to see what time it is, terrible.  Throw in some dry eye problems and I have to wear my glasses a lot.

With doctor's orders of less contact time, I decided I wanted some fun glasses, specifically some that were a little cateye - esque.  So, last year I discovered coastal.com. I ordered glasses without trying them on (eek) and was thrilled with them.
So thrilled that I actually wear these more than my other usual glasses, and actually have contemplated ordering them in black ;) My mom and aunt have both ordered and both turned out to be great.

Home office space

Been busy working on my home office!

I guess it is pretty girlie for a place I go to work on hunting clothes, but that is sort of me:)

Love these frye boots.  And are on sale on Sierra Trading Post right now.  I have stalked them for months :)

This tote is new from Filson, and one of my favorites.  I have it in the white color, and think that this will be my next.  It is a great size for to/from work, travel, and even a purse....if you are a big purse girl like me!

 

 

Home improvements

My entire weekend was spent on home improvements and moving furniture. We have been holding out buying a dining room table, since I was going to have access to one that was my grandparents.  Never having seen it, I had no idea what to expect.

I could not be more thrilled! I should have known because 1. My grandmother has great taste and 2. it was originally purchased for Bozeman, Montana....so it fits perfectly into our rustic house. And I am so much happier having a table that was in my family than one I buy from a store!

Can you tell I love trellis? I scored these placemats from TJ Maxx....AND they had 8 of them.  Lucky girl! The long candle I got from Joss and Main.  Helps to have a best friend who is an interior designer, who sends you links to things that go perfectly :)

I also got this foyer table from my grandparents - it fits perfectly!

My Answers:

1.          I love fashion and all things preppy and sporting.  Because of my career in apparel, and my love to help others find clothes and put outfits together, I thought this would be a fun project for me. I also always get questions from friends and friends of friends who find my job fascinating.....so I thought this may be a glimpse into my unusual career path. 

2.         My lifestyle.  I am very girly but also love all things hunting, shooting and fishing.  

3.         J.Crew, Kate Spade, and Lilly Pulitzer. (Insert bias) Also, Eddie Bauer Sport Shop - it is the line I started for Eddie Bauer. 

4.         My top ten fall essentials are: 1). Riding Boots 2). Le Chameau or Barbour boots (I like the sporting background of this style vs the more trendy rainboots) 3). Trench Coat (always in style) 4). Fur....I love it as a trim right now 5). Waxed cotton anything   6). J.crew matchstick cords 7). Cognac colored wedge ankle booties 8). Wool pencil skirt  9). Initial thoughts...

Monograms! Who doesn't love them?

I recently ordered this pillow from preppy and personalized...I love it! Our combined initials in burlap, so it fits in our rustic prep home perfectly!

Adam got me this monogram necklace for our first anniversary...

And monogrammed jacks? Two of my favorite things combined! I wore these at our wedding reception, with my new married initials.

Charlottesville Fun

It's been a busy last week for this girl. Lots of work, a pretty fierce cold that wiped me out, and a weekend trip with the husband. 
We went to Charlottesville last weekend, which is one of our most favorite places!

During the trip I of course hit up the Lilly Store I discovered last time...the Pink Palm.
They are fabulous! and having a great sale:)
